Alea Jade Interview

Q. What is your name and how did you choose it?

My name is Alea jade. I chose it by surfing the internet and trying to find something that felt right in my heart when I said it aloud or wrote it.

Q. Whose fashion or beauty style do you admire? Why?

I don't have anyone I admire yet as I'm a baby trans and I don't know what my style is yet

Q. What do you find to be the most liberating aspect of being a trans woman?

The most liberating thing is to be truly myself and finally for my body to begin to align with my mind and the way I think and feel. Also, the clothing is way more fun and cute.

Q. How long have you been transitioning?

Just over 6 months

Q. If you could have dinner with anyone (dead or alive), who would it be?

If I could have dinner with anyone alive it would be Sugar. She is gorgeous and is amazing at drag. And dead - my great grandfather, Par as everyone knew him by.

Q. What’s your favorite movie and/or book? Why?

I don't have a favorite. I love all the books I read.

Q. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why?

Denmark because I would love to see that country because the Fordes are beautiful over there and embrace my heritage.

Q. Any words of wisdom for other women that are transitioning?

Always find friends that will love you and support you because if your family doesn't you can always rely on your chosen family to stand by you.

Q. Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?

I'm single, I'm a writer not professionally. I'm Australian.
