Are you a tall trans woman? Are you struggling to feel confident at your current height? There are a lot of MtF trans women that feel the same way, and yes, there is a solution! One of the first steps to overcoming your height dysphoria is realizing you are NOT alone.

Being taller than most cis women might make you feel like you stand out, or are not feminine enough. However, this could not be more far from the truth. In fact, many modelling agencies have a MINIMUM height for their female models which ranges from 5'9-5'10. So, being a tall women should actually be something you take pride in.

If you are truly unhappy with your height, and it's causing mental health issues, it is recommended to speak with a therapist to help you sort out your feelings. If you're looking for alternatives, we've come up with a few tips to help you feel comfortable being tall and feel more feminine.

Tip 1. Totally Embrace Your Height

One way to battle your height dysphoria is to totally embrace how tall you are. Show it off. Dress in ways that highlight your feminine attributes, and don't be bashful about being tall. Strut your stuff! Be confident, and don't worry about what others think of your height.

Tip 2. Wear Flats or Sandals

If you are trying to shave a few inches off of your height, try wearing flats or sandals - instead of high heels or thick soled shoes. This can help you to appear shorter, while still being stylish and comfortable.

Tip 3. Wear High Waisted Pants & Clothing

A great tip for appearing shorter, or more proportional is to wear high waisted clothing. The high waist makes your legs look long, while making your upper body appear shorter. This can give the illusion that you are actually shorter, as your body will appear more proportioned.

5. Wear Flat Sole Sneakers

Similar to wearing flats or sandals, flat soled sneakers are a great choice. Flat soled sneakers don't add much to your height and are super on-trend. Wearing this style is an easy way to look good, while helping to keep height at bay.

I have this issue. I only wear flat shoes when I go out in public because I’m 6’5 with heels :(
